Dr. Openshaw is originally from the Southern California area.  He completed his B.A. in psychology at California State University at Fullerton, where he graduated with Highest Honors.  He received his Master of Science and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University in Indiana.  He is licensed as a psychologist in California, and has been practicing in Fullerton since 1983.  He worked as a Staff Psychologist at St. Jude Medical Center from 1983 to 1990, working with the cardiac, spinal cord injury, and stroke treatment programs.  He also worked throughout the medical center with emergency, general medical and psychiatric programs.   He has provided presentations and programs on a wide variety of topics to groups and organizations in the community.  He is still on staff at St. Jude Medical Center and has been in full-time private practice since 1990. 

Dr. Openshaw currently divides his time between his clinical and consulting practices.  In his clinical practice he works with couples or individuals regarding relationship concerns, or with individuals for stress, anxiety, depression and other problems in need of solutions.  In his consulting practice, BusinesSolutions, he develops solutions for a variety of problems involving relationships and personalities in the world of business.
